Tesla Cybertruck 2023: What We Know So Far

Although the Tesla Cybertruck may look like an alien drop, it is capable of challenging all top-selling pickup trucks. The all-electric Tesla truck is extremely tough thanks to its sharp exterior made from scratch- and dent-resistant stainless steel.

 What We Know So Far

The Cybertruck is available with all-wheel drive and can tow up to 14,000 pounds. It has a driving range of approximately 500 miles. The most expensive model is $39,900, while the cheapest starts at $39,000. There's still much we don't know, including when the Cybertruck will go on sale.

Tesla Cybertruck 2023: What We Know So Far

Tesla has repeatedly delayed production of the truck, but Elon Musk, the CEO, promised on April 7, 2022, that the truck would be available in 2023.

What's new for 2023?

Tesla has expanded its range to include the pickup truck, which is one of America's most loved body styles. The Cybertruck is a strong seller for Tesla, considering how well pickup trucks sell in this country.

It will have to compete with other electric vehicles, such as the Ford F-150 Lightning and GMC Hummer EV. Chevy also plans an electric Silverado within the next few years. Ram claims that it will have an EV with a truck bed by 2024.

Pricing and Which One to Buy

Three configurations of the Cybertruck will be offered, each based on how many electric motors they have. All-wheel drive is standard on all versions, except the single-motor model. However, each additional motor allows for faster acceleration, greater driving range, and greater towing capability.

EV Motor, Power, and Performance

Cybertrucks can be equipped with three electric motors. The single-motor truck comes with a rear-wheel drive. However, the two- and 3-motor models come with all-wheel drive. Tesla claims that it can go from zero to 60 mph in just 6.5 seconds, and reach speeds of 110 mph at the top.

According to reports, the Cybertruck's dual-motor motor will reach 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and can travel up to 120 mph. The three-motor Cybertruck is the best choice for those looking for ultimate performance.

Tesla claims that it can teleport from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds (!) It can reach speeds of up to 130 mph. All Cybertrucks come with an adjustable air suspension, which can be adjusted to adjust the height and provide up to 16 inches of ground clearance.

The pickup's 35-degree approach angle and 28-degree departure angles make it a formidable off-road vehicle.

Towing and Payload Capacity

The Cybertruck will be able to tow twice as much as Tesla claims. It will also have a higher maximum rating than popular alternatives like the Ram 1500.

The single-motor and dual-motor Tesla’s can tow a maximum of 7500 and 10,000 lbs, respectively. However, models equipped with a third motor can pull 14,000 lbs. The Cybertruck can haul 3500 pounds in its cargo bed, which is 6.5 feet long.

Charging, range, and battery life

Tesla did not reveal the dimensions of the batteries that would power its electrified pickup. Every model will be equipped with a 250-kW charging cord. It will have access to Tesla’s extensive network of Superchargers. I

The driving range of a motor varies depending on how many it has, but Tesla claims that a single motor can travel 250 miles. Dual motors have 300 miles or more, while the tri-motor setups should go 500+ miles.

Fuel Economy and Real-World MPGe

We can only use Tesla's initial estimates as we don't have any official ratings. We will also need to wait until we can test Cybertruck's ambitious maximum driving range in real life. Visit the EPA website for more information on the Cybertruck's fuel economy.

Interior, Comfort, & Cargo

The Cybertruck's sparse cabin will make those who thought that the Tesla Model 3 interior was minimalistic astonished again. Although many options and features have not been revealed, the first images show an interior slab-like dashboard that's dominated only by one large touchscreen.

The squared-off steering wheel appears to be equipped with an illuminated display. However, nothing has been confirmed. The Cybertruck can also seat six people and has a cargo bed measuring 6.4 feet with 100 cubic feet.

The Cybertruck also features a clever slide-out tailgate, which doubles as a ramp for loading four-wheelers or motorcycles.

Connectivity and Infotainment

The Cybertruck's interior is largely unveiled. However, details regarding Cybertruck’s infotainment system remain largely unknown. We do know that every model will feature a large 17-inch touchscreen, which is horizontally mounted in the central part of the dashboard.

Safety and driver-assistance features

All models will have Tesla's self-driving Autopilot feature. The company also claims it will offer a Full Self Driving option for $7000. Other driver-assistance technologies will also be offered, we believe.

You can find more information on Cybertruck's crash test results at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety websites.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage

Tesla offers a comprehensive warranty for its current models. However, it does not include complimentary maintenance.

  • The limited warranty is valid for four years or 50,000 mi
  •  The warranty on powertrains covers you for eight years regardless of how many miles you drive.
  •  There is no complimentary maintenance
